Courses don’t come onto our roster without proving themselves. The Golf Club Wilder Kaiser at 6400 yards is unusual for having 5 par 3s and 4 par 5s. Too many years of strolling fairways tells us that there are plenty of opportunities here for birdies and bogeys alike.
Set in the valley between the stunning mountains of the Wilder Kaiser and Kitzbühler Horn, the course is fit for all standards of golfer. Watch out for the seemingly benign start becoming increasingly difficult until the “Amen Corner” that is the run from the 12th to the 15th – three par 3s in four holes. Get through these little gems to set yourself up for a strong finish. Whether you play well or badly you’ll want to return for the unfulfilled promise of a lower score.
